Company valuations
We have years of experience behind us regarding market value appraisals of corporations and their organised parts, individual property assets or intangible assets. We offer our valuation services in relation to:
- Share sale and purchase transactions
- Mergers and acquisitions
- Corporate non-cash contributions
- Business divisions
- Share capital increases
- Privatisation processes
- Corporate squeeze-outs
- Effectiveness assessments of growth strategies
- IAS-compliant impairment testing for long-term investments
A key requirement for an objective market value appraisal is a selection of adequate valuation methods that reflect the object and purposes of valuation. We rely on a broad spectrum of valuation methods used in business practice:
- Income based: Discounted Cash Flow method (DCF)
- Accounting based: adjusted net asset value method
- Comparison based: market comparison (profit multiplier) method and comparable transactions method
- Asset based: liquidation, replacement and actual (technical) value appraisal
- Mixed approach: ‘Swiss’, ‘German’ or ‘Berlin’ methods.
If needed, we engage services of certified auditors and property appraisers to take part in our valuation assignments.
In recent years, we have acquired what is a truly rare commodity in the Polish market: skills and experience in market valuation of trade marks and know-how. Valuation of intangible assets requires specific and unique expertise and accuracy of consultants involved in value measurement.
International research and surveys confirm that brands and trade marks are among the most essential corporate assets. At the same time, experts point to high volatility of brand value, dependent on customer brand perception.
In practice, a combination of methods is used in trade mark valuations, most of which are income or cost based. The most popular ones include:
- Capitalization of financial gains and profit increments
- Net present value of incremental cash flows
- Royalty-based method
- Replacement cost estimate
- Value added measurement
