Rehabilitation and restructuring programes

At F5 Konsulting, we have amassed a wealth of experience in restructuring projects, including corporate rehabilitation measures, cost cuts, employment reduction or outsourcing auxiliary functions. When working on restructuring programme, we take into account all aspects of the task at hand, diagnosing all areas that a relevant for the company (market, marketing function, assets, organisation and management, social potential, financial position). We then identify major dysfunctional areas of the company, establish reasons for it, and try to find ways out of a crisis.

What is usually proposed in a corporate restructuring programme involves:

  • Changes to a corporate product portfolio and sales revenues structure (cancelling unprofitable products, or searching for new activities)
  • Disinvestments – making productive use of redundant assets, streamlining process lines
  • Rational streamlining of corporate functions (outsourcing auxiliary functions such as transport, service, security guard or cleaning functions)
  • Rebuilding organisational structure (focus on core business, enhancing less developed functions)
  • Reduced headcount and deployment of incentive systems
  • Changing a business form
  • Improving business financing structure
  • Rolling out adequate costing and product pricing systems

A proper restructuring programme may be used by a business to take corrective measures as per a restructuring implementation programme (measures to be taken, responsible staff, milestones, expected cost effects, related expenditure). It may also serve as instrument in talks with major creditors (banks, major suppliers) or in efforts to find investors with interest in intended activities.
